im going to be gettin a engine conversion within the next 6 months and i dealy i want a red top put into my corsa b. but i have just been offered a brand spankin new 2litre 8valve calibra engine. when i saw brand new it has been garaged since it was made and has only done litterally 100 miles. its coming from my mates dad so i know hes not ripping me off. well anyway hes offered it to me for £500, i jsut to know if i should take this off of him in stead of gettin a red top.

my mates 2.0 8v nova aint really that quick if thats what ya after, couldnt really get rid of my mates 1.4 sport redtop all the way mate! unless its an sri 130 lump

The 8v cally engines are 115bhp pish.
16v all the way.....

can get u a c20xe/F20 of same bloke who supplies regal/LM styling/cossvaux etc for £450

mate had a 8v 2.0l cav and it was a sluggish engine, get an astra gte 16v lump (c20xe i think) or a lower milaged calibra 2.0 16v lump
