the work by pushing a button on the outside of the car, which then runs an electrical current to the solenoid. it then pulls on the lock and the door pops open. You an get them for about a tenner at autoeurope.com.
dunno how reliable they r tho

there was a kit in max power a few months ago, from a remote, it 'pops' the door, as in pushes it open.
you have to have a way of getting in the acr from the out side, e.g. tvr button under the wing mirror
connect it up to the alarm so it only works when the alarms off. jobs a good un'

go to spraynique in Stoke for a quote - theyre experienced - done mine and stubbsys amongst others and made shit hot jobs - stubbsys is activated off his alarm fob - deactivates alarm and door pops open - they did the full job, wiring up solenoid - supplying etc etc.. and theyve fitted a mechanical back up system hidden on the car incase the battery or alarm fails - so that u can still get in

It'll pass MOT without a button switch fine...
As long as it can be opened mechanically (i.e. they can put hand in an open it from inside itll pass) So Keep windows down when going into MOT will do fine...
