this sounds like a really good idea 4 gettin a bit mor power, especially if the engine is modded 2! So all i hav 2 do i buy the engine, ecu, gearbox! just lyk this--->

yep, easiest way to 100-110BHP IMO, cheap to fix if it goes wrong aswell You wont get the lovely 16v roar though but it'll still be nice

go for it, did u manage to sell your car moddedcorsagsi? keep an eye out for a gsi thats been written off, just as easy a conversion and you get the roar

how much u reckon it wud cost me 4 the 1.6 16v engine all parts and fitted it i got them all from the local scrappy! cud av had the enjine out of me old gsi which i wrote off! d'oh! oh and i decided keep me car and carry on moddin, with an engine conversion!

its the x16xe i.e. the ecotec version.. but it is in good nick, been looked after.. with loom ecu gearbox and everything...
im sure u can cap off the ectotec stuff if you didn't want it.. can anyone confirm?
perhaps lookin for summit around the £350 mark.
Still got the drive shafts too if he wanted those as well?

its done 99k miles... it just reached that on the motorway on the way back from swansea wiith my 20xe in the back lol
No problems with it at all... and ive had it for 2 years now! The ecu light has only every come once in the past and that was a while back with the 'EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation - Part of ecotec) Valve ' - prolly clogged up with carbon but it cleared itself and then it was perfectly fine
No problems at all with the gearbox!
Its in good nick but need to sell it as soon as cus its at my friends house at the moment and its prolly in the way lol
I was gonna advertise driveshafts for £50 but if he wants em with the engine then maybe a lil cheaper 
let me know cus im gonna start advertising it for sale!!
