Hi
I'm trying to connect 2 pc's and a laptop together. I have a switch, network cards in all computers and cat 5 cable.
Ive connected all the computers to the switch/hub.
What do I do next?
Anyone know anything about networking?
Thanks

I have figured it out now, the only problem I have is that I cannot access the internet now. What do I have to do to enable internet sharing?
Its NTL broadband

u need to make all computers run on the same ip
if ure running xp this is easy jus go to setup new network, choose lan etc. etc.. once it's set up on all comp's
just right click on the lan icon
properties
click on ip in the dropdown then click properties and change the ip's to
192.168.0.1
192.168.0.2
192.168.0.3
and so on
the subnet mask will auto itself but should be 255.255.255.0

what are you using to connect to the cable? a PCI card in your computer, or a standalone "modem" ?

thats why i asked how he was connecting to the line. If it is a PCI card in his computer then he could set up internet connection sharing, built into windows, which would do it all for him and save a lot of hassle.
