went to work this morning and whilst im driving i can hear a scratching noise and its louder when i hit the brakes. is it the pads but it sounds to be comin from the back

Might be that your pads are wearing out. On the Corsa C there is a clip which constantly rubs when the pads are wearing out.

like red said most likely the clip on the pads telling you to get a new set

i bought a genuine set of pads off e bay for £5 bargain.vauxhall wanted £42 for them

Halfords ones are as good as GM ones. Fit them yourself its not at all difficult
