cam, chip induction kit with custom heatshield (ikea special), lexmaul manifold, decat, and headwork ported polished etc. just short of 100bhp

Righty, u'll your looking at a nice little power gain. I'd look at a fast road cam (not sure on angle for C14). Also, while ur at it flow the exhaust/carbs flowed to get the best from it.
Id say a good 15bhp as said maybe 20-25 with the cam and head work as it will work up the rev range.
Twin 40 = good mod for C14!!

well you wont need the ecu will you? or do u need to keep it for the imoboliser? not sure to be honest.

all ive done is put a head gasket on it oh and 50p on a throttle body to inlet manifold gasket.

are you taking about carbs or throttle bodies. personally I would junk the engine and get a 1.6 16v unit and fit tb's to that

You'd need a dizzy from tone of the carb'd nova engines (or astra) and then stick ARP rod bolts in and you can rev to 7750 then, get a bit more out of it.
You'd need a fuel pressure reg to reduce it to about 4-5psi.
Just remeber to get the right inlet manifold

and spend how much? I already have the carbs (twin 40 DCOE's) just need the inlet manifold and other bits 250 quid tops
