Koni shocks adjustables
With Eibach springs?
After a kit with least bounce and crashy ness with a firm yet supple ride

I got some Eibachs on GSi shocks. The ride is not as harsh as the GSi springs, but still good for cornering. Cheap setup although not adjustable...

Didnt believe it but....found Gmax shocks and Eibach springs worked very well....had a full Koni kit before lowered 40mm. Ride was terrible, felt like every bump in the road was going to go up my arse. Put the Eibach springs and Gmax shocks on and its as if it hasnt been lowered.

koni are designed for handleing not confort tho Drysdale.
i have Koni shocks and chasiss dynamics springs, going to change the springs soon for maybe some eibach ones,
the springs determine how harsh the ride is.
top setup Jambo, go for it.

i had this setup, it handled well but expect to bounce along on all but the smoothest roads, at some points i even felt sick through bouncing on the seat.
get fk highsports i have them now, the car is sitting lower and the ride is good. i wish i had gotten them before my koni/eibach they worked out cheaper aswell due to the croup buy. =>£370

i sold these to mike, nice ride now mike?  .
the problem is not with the eibachs,it's the koni adjustable as has been said they are designed for handling not comform even on softest setting!

same again here changing the springs will not smooth the ride with koni's,i should know after having 3 different sets of springs on.

Yes, they are actually softer than the GSi springs, and body roll is less because they're lower, even without an antiroll bar. So all good.

Gunna buy me bilstein steup for £400 nicker may use eibach springs as well if they turn out to be shit, which i doubt they will.

not interested in going "low" Just purely for the handling/ride
apex will be harsh as they are cheap just like my kit i have now

my fk's have dropped about 50mm no wheel spacers 16" rims et45.
good quality ride aswell.( i bought them for ride quality not drop)
try billy's they may be good, eibach springs are fine providing your shox ain't totally solid.

i know m8 just trying to help. i to was on the quest for a smooth ride.
after having koni's and eibach's (which everyone says are great) i can say the ride on fk's is smoother. i no longer bounce up and down in the seat even when driving steadily, the shocks actually feel as if they are doing their job and are absorbing the bumps.
however i haven't lowered the car extremely probably 40-50mm, people who have gone lower with wide wheels have had problems with the spring platforms catching, also lowering greatly will reduce the ride quality.
i had the koni's on with a 1.4i and 2.0 16v and found the ride hard with both setups.
would i buy fk's again yes. do i wish i had bought them first of all yes. 
i searched and read numerous post about fk's and alot of people said they gave a very good ride. i tried 3mm spacer and the extra drop it would give me was not worth the hassle trying to fit them with the wheels,a shorter helper spring is the answer.
eibachs springs are good with standard shockers, koni's are hard on softest setting and will make most rides hard no matter what springs you use.
you will never get tha same smoothness as standard but i can say the ride in my car now isn't far away from my old man's astra 2.2 sri. shame you can't come for a test run jambo  .

Dammit im tempted again
Grrrr, Its £400 for bilstein setup and same for FKs if i get a bulk deal
Im not wanting to put spacers on ive got 17"s and not changing em so im only after a 40-50mm drop anyways.
What is a shorter helper srping

the helper spring sits under the main spring and stops it rattling about when the dampers are fully extended. normally the sit fully compressed at which point are about 2" thick, using a thinner helper spring will move the spring platform up for the same drop compared to the fk supplied helper so not catching the tyres.
you are best asking someone who fitted the fk's and also has 17's on really to see if they had problems.check who got them in the last group buy.
cheeky corsa did this and wrote this article. he has 16's fitted like me though.
