HI everyone. just been to see the guy whos gonna do my disc conversion and he says itll make the wheels stick out abit further?? is this true and how much roughly as theres new 90mm springs going in straight after and i dont want scrubbing if at all avoidable??? any help greatly appreaciated.. STevie

if there coming off a GTE astra there should be no difference as the plates u transfer are the same size to the best of my knowledge.

the guy whos doing it told me to use a cavalier rear beem which im getting on tuesday. he said it will stick out furthur.. im really not happy now. wot u mean m2rvh? about sittin in?? i got the new springs the thing is sittin on the tyres as it is without the wheels sticking furthur out.. i know this guys good and have seen his previous work but if i can do it so that the wheels r not sticking out then iwill. is it a hard diy job? im a metal worker by trade and a gd welder. just not to sure on conversions like this...

mine sit out a tiny bit more, probably about 5mm. Off an Astra GSi

you only use the plates off the end of the beam, you cant use the whole cav/astra beam
my wheels sit in about 4-5mm further than they used to and I get less scrubbing. this is due to the fact the plate being welded on is thinner than the plate that came off the corsa beam.

i thought the plates off the astra were the same size??.....Thats actually brilliant news so cos then yad get no scubbing at all cos in affect u have changed the wheels ET49 on the back.
Brilliant 
hafta get myself self a rear beam and get this mod done.

yeah but the guy thats doing mine said not to get astra to get cavalier. he said ne cav as long as it didnt have abs or be 5 stud...
