hi lads ,
ive allready tried the search function, but its a wee bit ghay!
basically im really happy with me car and all the time and cash ive pumped into it, but the only prob 4 me being its now done 96,000 miles and i dont wanna c it go for next to nothing, so what i was thinking of doing is swapping the hairdryer 1.28v for a 1.4 8/16v?
1)would they swap straight over
2) how much would i be looking at for this work
3)what parts will i need to keep swap
4)what do i say to insurance company and logbook ppl
5) if it is swapped will there be any probs in the long run
i know theres alot of questions there u lot have prob answere hundereds of fookin times before but your all ive got boys, please help me!!!!

1. Yes
2. £700 labour £250 engine gearbox(16v)
3. Engine, gearbox, loom ECU, new brakes
4. Youve changed the engine

if the engine you get has a built in imobilizer you will also need the transponder chip form the key and the sensor round the key barrell the barrell sensor, ecu, and chip must all match up , ie be all from same car otherwise the car will just turn over and not start prolly also get a flashing engine managment light to say imobilizer has kicked in.
