It is very difficuilt because of can bus the newer "Z" engines only use 1 coolant sensor so the gauge runs off the ecu so the gauge wont read a standard temp sensor the can bus system will need 2 ecu's for it all to work properly this may evern affect stuff such as central locking elec windows etc etc tis very complex just look @ a wiring diagram!

U have a corsa c with no elec windows or central locking. Even my shitty life in which they've left out anythin that costs more than 25p to fit has leccy windows and remote central locking.

This was one of the first corsa c's on the market...was in the same year the B's were comming out. X reg. Its the club model...so i have grey door cards, grey glove box and no electric windows, no air con and no remote central locking. I did have a corsa with all those on my comfort but i wrote that off.
Its nothing i need anyway. im happy using window winders, happy using the key to open the door...although i do miss central locking at night time when its dark. The air con i never used hardly and when i did the car would barely move.

it is possible to put a 2lt into a corsa c-just very difficult.the 2 ecus that people keep blabbing about is true-you need the standard body control module(bcm)and the ecu that comes with the donor engine. as long as the necessary info is sent to the bcm from the engine donor ecu then everything will be fine.u wont need to touch the dash etc as the speedo reading is calculated either from abs ecu or from bcm-if calculated in the body control module it means that it needs the speed signal from the engine donor ecu BUT this signal has to be put on the HIGH SPEED CAN line.this is where it gets tricky.it will involve a lot of trial and error and some usage of tech2 but eventually things come together and things get sorted.at first any engine conversions to the c were met with screams but now they getting easier.i expect a conversion kit for the electrical side to come from europe soon.

What's the point of this conversion exactly. The 2L 16v will be about 140PS I imagine. The standard 1.8 Corsa has 125PS and all the required safety features required plus it will be easier to insure.
IMO it's a mad idea.

It's a mad idea, but a 2 litre Corsa C would be a bit more unique, and all the effort would be worth it IMO.

Here's another example of a 2l in the corsa c. This one is actually for sale at the moment.

Actually just learnt that because my car is fairly older than most C's and it doesnt have all those extras like remote central locking etc...that its going to be ALOT easier to do Just the dash that needs the work.
