performance from a 1.2 8v is like trying to drag a sick man out of bed!
trust me ive tried now gone for a 1.4 8v,with twin 40's conversion

You're not really going to get anything perfomance wise on a 1.2 8v

no but piper exhausts seem to be quite loud just the back box

the peco twin one i have on mine was tested and gave out 3-4 bhp....so basically go for one u like the look at.
this peco i had sounded really nice, dont know why ppl slate em coz half of em have never had one (tossers), sounds really deep, and a nice volume, and looks decent too

get a powerflow custom system, i've got a powerflow quad backbox on mine, looks good, sounds good- (a bit louder without being over the top and looking like a chav tosser) and excellent quality... at a price mind you. but i think it well worth it
