do you have to buy the cleaning kit to clean the filter or can you just use washing up liquid?

and what about reoiling filter afterwards?

Now hands that do dishes (K&N's) can be soft as you clean with mild green .....

K&N you probably have to buy costly "K&N approved" cleaning fluids, oils, gloves, towels and water.

Yeah i tried cleaning it jus with water an it kinda fucked it up so put it in petrol all the crap came off but was shit anyway so jus got rid...
