I have just picked up a yr old corsa sxi capital - just to find the owner has cleaned it for me with back to black all over the dash. Is there any way of getting back to original matt finish. Thanks.

Some kind of solvent like Methylated Spirit might remove it?

Just use some trim cleaner like Comma Interior Clean. That shifts anything. Solvents can react with certain plastics.
