once i've had my 2.0 16v conversion i want a cat-back exhaust system. now will the cat i have on my corsa sport already be ok or will i need a new one ? and will the rest of it fit ok? could someone give me a full list of whats needed for the exhaust after a conversion?

If the car you ripped the xe out of did not have a cat your laffing as u dont need one if you do take the old cat/zorst to a custom zorst place and they will sort u out a system..
I am going to cut the flang off the xe manifold and bend some 2.25" zorst pipe to back box and weld it on!! (as mine donner car was a pre car cavalier)

you just say it's a none cat enigne and they'll believe you.
Just get the engine in, and then have a full 2.25" system on there, 2 box preferabley

but surely an decent garage doing an mot would know that its not pre cat engine??

No, cause there's no date stamped on the engine that's easy to see unless you're looking for it.
Just a) ask them to do an emissions test on a 2L 16V corsa [they can't reverets to pre-cat emssisons test]
Or make up a boggus receipt saying it's from a '89 MK2 astra GTE or something, andf put your signature and make you joe bloggs or something.

how much a 2.25" full system gonna set me back? i could always get a sports cat as i dont really want to not have the cat incase of the MOT prob

pre early '92.
Just say it come out a MK2 GTE astra. hardly rocket science.
