i had one... based on flat spots i sold it though recently.... the 1.2 can't handle it 
sounded nice but tbh im gettin a straight thru exhaust so who cares that'll be nicer

The filter wouldn't have damaged your air mass meter, it would have been fitted incorrectly.
It was down to me sprayin too much of that oil stuff over it i think, then i clogged the sensor
