in last 2 weeks i noticed a weird sort of smell from the heater in my car but paid no attention... had a good check up other day and noticed the oil cap was not locked!!

and oil was leaking down onto the manifold and burning hence the smell from the heaters

the oil cap does not lock shut tight anymore unless i put a bit of tissue around the edges!!

anything i can do to repair it, i see their is a rubber seal around the oil cap, could that need replacing, or the whole thing?? how much are they from vaux??

theirs hardly any corsa's in scrappies were i live, let alone any 1.4/1.6 corsa's with the oil cap i need!

and vaux will probably charge about £10-£20??

thats not too bad at all i guess, the cars a 1994 plate and current oil cap as far as i know has lasted for over 10 years lol! so i guess a fiver is minor
