Thats not shy, can you replicate that for all file types? I would say that the file is being compressed in transit but of course its already a zip so should not really compress any more.

Im willing to bet that if your on a 256 line, and ur getting that speed, the file data is made enterily of 0000000.. and useless..
Well done for downloading 100 meg of nothing
I recently downloaded at 2.5 mbps, on my 1 meg line. the file was fake of course

He's posted speeds like this before.
Whether or not its actually happening, which it probably is your still wrong.
You sometimes get much more bandwidth if the file is hosted on the isp server.
Unless the line is only physically able to operate at whatever speed its not impossible to get faster than you are supposed to.

If its ADSL you CANNOT download faster than the set speed ratio which is set by BT.
Unless you have a flux line where you have time differences say 256 in the daytime 8 meg a night, or vice verses, but this is normally in central city locations and dosent vary as much as that

Yes, a friend of mine is works for bt and we had a nice lengthy conversation about it thursday night whilst we were trying to figure out what was going on with my speeds.
