well known on BUGs too, usually on cramped engine bays where airflow cannot reach the rear of the engine very well.....

makes me laugh though before, driving arounf in my mates RS turbo, and when driving in traffic in town the ammount of people who start jumping around at you and doing some kind of mime thing 2 get your attention 4 u 2 wind ya window, only 2 hear them say "your bonnets popped open" 
only 2 think, i didnt no for bonnets opened that way!?

i didn't do this to look cool as some people state, car was over heating and when i stopped ther was usually smoke coming out. bonnet popped, cooler engine, cleard all the smoke.
there simple to make, i used exhaust brakets, measuared how far i wanted it raised, once i had done that i measuerd the centre point of each whole and made sure it was the same length i wanted it raised, hey presto, all done.

i went down to my local street racing lastnight and the was a 200sx down there that had his bonnet raised at the back, so it not just little cars that have it done
