What causes a big end bearing to go? Only one of the four was goosed(Cylinder 1) should all four not show similar wear? The other 3 look brand new! The alternator pulley on the crankhafts vibration damper had perished badly, would this cause enough vibration down the crank to wear a bearing out?

Can nobody help? I dont want to bolt the engine back together without knowing the reasons why it might of happened
