Put my 360 on for the first time in ages this morning, was on for 2 minutes and just cut out. Then the lovely red lights.

Was planning on joining the lovely lads playing COD3 later

Luckily within my year warrenty (finishes in april). Now has anyone returned to MS before? I'm sure i've seen people on here who had to send the hard drive back and were told they'd probably lose everything. But, they have told me to just return the console itself. No wires, nothing AND remove the harddrive before I return it.

New 360 for me

I was going to send mine to MS but Argos said they'd swap it for a new one, so naturally I just did that.

Sent mine back to MS, sent it as i received it fully boxed etc all leads and HD.

They sent me a whole new system back without the original box. Came in a cardboard box fitted to the size of the console with seperate compartments for the wires.

Good service shocking at sending stuff back

Compaq did the same to me when I sent a laptop back to them once. Came back in a dodgy box.

My 360 has been pretty reliable, barely ever crashes on me, had it since october **Touch Wood**

Got it for £100 too, ebuyer fucked up a refund for something else, ended up getting 3 refunds, so i got the 360

You don't get a new 360 back either. You get a refurbished one, which basically means it was someone else's broken xbox till MS fixed it. So when you send your xbox in, instead of putting it on a waiting list to fix, they send you one thats already been fixed. Then when your original console has been fixed (some 3 months later) that is sent to whoever else needs an xbox console.

Some people claim sending in premium systems (with the silver plate) and getting back core systems (without the plate). Other people have systems sent back to them that are actually older then the system they sent to Microsoft. Nothing you can do about it though im afraid.
