if anyone has shaved abit off their rear brake drums was it hard or if u hav, hav u had any problems with the tyres's or owt, i need to know this cause my rear drivers side wheel is sticking out but the passenger side rear wheel is under the arch by bout an inch,,offit. well if u know plz reply,cheers

so i guess that u people don't agree with trimming the drum down then eh.
its just that ive spoken to a few corsa lads n their were telling me bout it so the wheel sit's under the arch........

is it to stupid then

Mate, don't even think of doing it, its not only stupid it could be extremely dangerous. You don't have anywhere near enough metal on the face of the drum to start turning it down, especially not enough to bring your wheel in an inch.
I assume that both rear wheels have the same offset and that you don't have odd wheels or different width tyres.
It might be an idea to swap your rears over and see if you still have the problem, at least then you'll know the wheels are the same.
If all else fails, you might get away with skimming a touch off the inner face of the wheel, this has been done before, but to be honest, I wouldn't want it on my car.

Think this must be someone from scrap heap challenge...TRIMMING THE DRUM!!!!

and those wheels dont sound safe if one sticks out an inch and the other is under the arch an inch....deffo a botch job somewhere down the line!

your arch has probably been pushed in a little, one of mine was, either this or the car has had a serious crash and been repaired. check the offset of the wheels.

so if i check the offset of my wheels which r 17" team dynamics phantoms and they r both the same then the car has been in a crash or is just bent underneath,if its bent underneath can it be starightened on a jig????
