My Freeview has become very intermittent, I assume it's the crap weather.
The freeview website suggested getting a company in to see if we need an aerial upgrade.
Does anyone know how much this might cost?

You need a Wideband aerial. About £50/60 IIRC.

i've just installed my digital aerial today, pointed it at the mast and it hasn't been switched to freeview yet 
Check there isn't another mast you could point your ariel at James or see if there is any maintenance etc
