Will it need to be Re MOT'd as soon as it goes in or do i just update the logbook?

You will need get a re-fund on your tax, and buy a new disc for the new class/engine cc.
Assuming the engine originally fitted was smaller than a 1.6

When I did mine I sent them the log book with the new engine size and they invoiced me for the extra I had to pay to upgrade the tax to the higher rate so that it still finished on the same date. Then they sent me a new tax disc and I sent the old one back to them.

Easy really as long as your tax isnt due in a month
