Does anyone have this software? I helped a mate DJ last night, nothing major, but I've now got the urge to try a bit of mixing again! So I've acquired Virtual DJ 5.0.
Is it possible to play the music through the PC speakers, and the track you want to mix in next through headphones? So I've got 2 seperate outputs. If so how do you set this up?
Cheers.

You need two sound cards, or a professional sound card with two output channels.

So without buying a new soundcard, it's not possible?

Nope, but a sound card will cost you less than £5 from PC World. The problem is getting them to run in tandem which I found quite hard to do.

Is that due to Windows not liking having 2 sound cards running together?

IIRC the software I used let me pick any port on my soundcard to use as an out?
I can't remember what I was running though

Windows has no issue with it. As long as it knows which one to use by default it doesn't care. Install a second and you should be able to choose the second in the DJ software as an output.
Actually, if you have a 5.1 surround card, can't you connect your headphones to one of the channels, the speakers to the other, and set that as the option? I'm sure you can do it in FutureDecks, but wouldn't know about VDJ.

I couldn't do it like that with PC DJ, but you might be able to do it with other software.
