car wouldn't idle properly so took it to the garage as luck would have it the engine management light turned itself off just before i got there so when it was put on the diagnositic machine it would nothing.
the guy at the garage removed all the spark plugs and did a compression check on all the cylinders one was well low (3rd one along from the left side) he said that in order to find the source of the problem he would have to take the head off and stuff and quoted me like 700 quid for the job, which included changing head gasket and getting it skimmed.

has anyone else had this problem? cars a 1.6 corsa sport

700 pound i tell him to go fuck him self it could be a bent valve or rings or gasket
