Check your earth, get a multimeter - failing that just make sure it's a good connection i.e. paint removed from surface etc...

Check ur fuse under the bonnet also. Check the earth is good and solid and onto bare metal, and check that the remote cable isnt loose. If it still persists take the remote cable off and replace it then turn it on. I remeber something like that happening on mine before.

I've had funny things happen to get the protect light, magnetic field around the the sub was having an effect on earth/power cable and made the amp go into protect mode...
Just start from the beggining and work back, it's not that hard if you have a multimeter

Check for short circuits, speaker terminals touching doors etc...
So you say it's only happened after since you bought a new sub and exchanged it for a new one - is that correct?

i had 6x9 or 6x10 connected basically, i unplugged the speakers and conencted a sub to try it, and it just does a loud pop sound when stereo comes on. some reason it did blow the fuse earlier yesterday but i changed that. but still it doesnt work...
