Its more awkward mate, i jacked the car up at the driverside and put a couple of tires under for safety then with the aid of a torch i was able to get the plug connector off the icv. Its on the bottom of the inlet manifold so make sure you do it when the engines cold as i got a few burns. The hard but of removing it is the jubille clips. if they have been done properly you will be able to loosen them by under the car cause you can get access to them with a flat head but if they aint like mine were then its a torch job to see the icv through the top of the inlet manifold, remove the rockercover breather hoses to see it better, then get access from there then go under the car and remove the icv which might me tough to remove the hoses as they may have been on for a long time. You can clean them out but my mate says best to get a new one so the job is done and dusted. Its just a fiddly job to do but worth it as mine was running like a bag of spanners.
