ive got a ripspeed 720 dvd player but recently wen i turn it on the welcome message comes up and the screen comes out but then turns itself off.,
any1 else had this problem?is it anything major??

happens to my mates car, ya have to give the dvd player chance to load up on ignition then start the car, or start it quickly, jst restart ya car, usually works

May be a faulty ignition barrel, at work we've had a fair few come in with this problem over the last few years.

Something to do with a switch and being intermittent.

it means ur ignition live isnt working, it will come on for a few seconds because of the perminant live.

to solve the problem is simple check the fuse of the wiring at the back of the headunit, it will be red and will be a glass fuse in a plastic casing

if not check your fuses of your car, depends on what car but normally around glovebox or drivers side, best to have a look in a haynes manual.

if the all the fuses are fine and you cant think of any other ideas check the wiring at the back of the headunit with a multimeter (if you dont have one ask your local halfords) and find another ignition live (cig lighter is usually the best one) and you that to power your radio.

if that all makes sense to you
