I have a DVD player that upscales and has fantastic reveiws i recently built my own media center with Blueray is fantastic. DVDs dont look so hot but my cabinet is kinda full wanted to get rid my DVD player but if I upgrade my graphics card would this improve the upscaling on DVDs or better to keepmy current player?

Thanks

my Home cinema system upscaled my dvds, which looked amazxing compared to my old dvd player...

Then i got a blu-ray player and it upscales too, however even though aparently to the same spec (1080) the new plkayer is easily 10x better than the old one. The colours are sooooooo good.

Just want to know if the new graphics cards actually do a good job of DVD upscaling?

depends?

what software do you use to play dvds, you can upscale through certain software.

also its true some graphics card deal with processing of video better/worse than others, how they deinterlace ect but chances are changing your graphics card wouldnt really help.

best thing is to try software upscaling, ffdshow has some pretty indepth settings that allow you to upscale till your hearts content.

heres a link of how to set it up, be warned its quite a lot of work, but worth it in the end.
