weeks ago i thought my fuel pump was nackered,tryed to replace it but tanks badly bashed so got 1 yesterday out scrappers with pump, put it all on and it took 15 mins to jump start it, now when its runnin its very very lumpy, any ideas? ive not got a emission light (think some took the bulb out) any1 ideas what it could be or how to find out? oh and my bro put the jump leads on the wrong way to start with and both engine bays smoked, could this have done anything? thanks

Tell us what car/engine you have, which one is running shit, wether the tank was clean before you put it in, wether the fuel was clean, wether you fastned all fuel hoses on right, did you test the pump after installation? if so what pressure was it?
Unfortunatly none of us on here have crystal balls so we need info

hold down the 2 buttons on your multi function display untill it flashes will tell you the codes stored in the ecu.
sounds like you have fryed something... welome to cars not liking being jump started the wrong way

its a x16xe corsa dont know about the tank, petrol was freshly put in, hoses are oon properly, i think its because its been jump started wrong any1 got any suspicions (SP) what it could be

you should never jump start a vehicle you can spike your ecu!
weve had many cars in work as non runners as a result of lending someone there car to jump start sum1 elses

took the plugs out and there all black sooted so cleaned them and put them back in and it runs alot betta but theres still summit wrong with it, the pump making noises, it just doesnt feel the same

thats what i fort!! when you hold them 2 buttons in it comes up with speed in kph! nothing to do with ecu

could i have blown a sensor when jumped the wrong way? the spark plugs were very black sooted, does this mean its over fueling?
