just took my car for an mot and it failed on the emmisions wot could be the cause? its just had a new backbox fitted and a oil change

also i forgot to mention that iv drilled my airbox. before i done it the car was fine but now that its done its spitting loads of petrol out the exhaust wot could be the problem here?

i doubt it will be the airbox, did the garage say what they think it is, most emmision failures i find are down to faulty lambda sensors

lamda sensor and cat thats my guess and i use t work 4 vauxhall

you'd be surprised, my old gls would fail its emmisions test if i had anything other than the standard air box on it. pop down a scrapers and pick one up dert cheap
