As the 0-60 of a 1.2 16v corsa is roughly 13 seconds standard, what kind of gain would someone expect if they were to take the back seats out? How much do the backseats weigh roughly?

i managed to get 0-60 in 11.2 seconds which is still poor in my 1.2 merit. i didnt red line it but was giving it some. i would of thought the back seats weigh a good 10-15 kilo (back and bottom)

wont make hardly any difference, will still be slow as fuck.

In a 1.2 8v merit? or do you get 16v merits?

you can only get 1.2 8v merits.

 18 seconds book figure for a 1.2 merit.
i had one for first car... and 20secs was a mission.

Makes it handle a little nimbler IMO, i've got a merit, and it's completely stripped out, back seats, plastics, roof linings, floor carpets, sound deadening.
Won't make you any faster but i'm sure i stop alot quicker now lol
