pulled some leads out a car, the fuse was missing out the power cable.
what kind of fuse does it need?

all depends on what holder it has some take a slow blow glss fuse other just take a normal fuse ... what size amp and guge wiring u have will distinguish what size fuse it takes and the fuse holder will tell u what type

it takes a glass fuses i believe. 8mm cable running 400w amp

40amp fuse will do it easy then

The amp should be fused as well - look what is on there.
I would guess around 40amp for that wattage but may be different on the accuracy of that power rating and the efficiency of the amp.

the amp will have 1 or 2 15amp fuses in or maybe 20amp nothing too big thoo
