I wanted to re-set them to 000000 as my engine going in can pretty much be said to be NEW!

I attatched a drill to the inner cable for the speedo and it does turn them back but very very slowly, each m takes about 2mins.

Is there another way?

Thanks

(Ps. This is for personal track use, i do not ever intend to re wing mileage on a road car for any reason)

If its just for track use make a note of the mileage when you fitted the new engine?

There's a trick you can use with a couple of matchsticks. Spllit the digits apart and there's a wee cog behind them or something, it was my dad that was talking about it once. I'l try and find out more later.

take out the 4 small torx on the back of the speedo you should be able to move it forward now and see the cogs be carefull not to rip the ribbon loom. get a small flat bladed screwdriver and slide the cogs to the left (clocks facing you) this may take a little pressure now turn the cogs to desired miles and slide them back in place. (this is for information purposes only and not to be carried out on any road car)
