Got a problem with a mates laptop, trying to fix it, doing my head in,
basically when it finishes loading a page it always jumps to the bottom of it, does it in both IE and firefox. really irritating when you start reading something then it just goes to the bottom of a long page,
laptop is a HP 6735s

Check a key isn't stuck down (clean it), like the 'END' key.

Try checking the space bar too. I had this problem once when sitting down with my laptop on my lap. Realised my belly was holding the space bar down!

thanks guys. it turns out the end button is really sensitive, you just have to touch it slightly and it goes to bottom. would this be fixed under warranty as it doesnt seem like there is anything under it

Yeah, I'd imagine so.
HP warranties are pretty good, and being a 6735 it'll be new enough to be covered.
