the inlets that flame on here sells am i right in thinking if you made 1 wider you could make it give more torque and it would act like an sfi box on a redtop?

I sure mantzel and lexmaul etc would have done lots of r@d on the size of inlet to use to get the best result, as these are copy,s they should be close enough to gain the same results give or take a couple of bhp, so I would say the answer is no to any gains by going wider, I could be wrong just a opinion.

The gains would be tiny. And i think you would lose some throttle responce.

the vxperformance inlet ive got, there is hardly any space when its on, nats wisker away from the bulk head

i don't mean make it wider to the bulkhead and if you look at the sfi box its low and wide and its suppose to help with torque so im saying if you made an inlet small and wide wouldn't it help with torque on the small blocks?
i've done a picture to show what i mean

Its the individual runners that need to be longer to get any gains.. And those would be power gains generally more torque is gained from shorter runners

I would imagine its a complete and utter legend, I would have though its just a resonator! The eco tec ones just had a funny little branch off the inlet instead.
