How do you wire an amp switch do you just put the switch in between the live to the amp and battery?

think the remote is only 5 volts there should be a remoe out put on the back of your sterio

Simple is to cut the wire that goes from your head unit to amp. The one which tells the amp to power up when the head unit is on. Cut it, add switch and you're away.

cut the remote wire inbetween the headunit and amp and put a switch in, i did that on my old corsa and it does work

i just used a 2 way switch, either side of the wire to each conection. so your just braking the circuit

I have a switch i got with my footwell neons...do you know the switch i mean?...Do you wire the remote to both bits....

Jeez, did you do basic electronics in school?

If you can't wire a switch then don't fit one. You will fry your car.

haha No everyone is confusing it Lol look i get the switch break the circuit in the remote then wire on ehalf the remote to one bit on the switch the other to the other rejoining the circuit right...

get a single pole switch. It will have two terminals. cut the wire and connect a cut end to each terminal.

hang on why the hell are you wanting to put a switch on the remote wire? the head unit does the job of the switch anyway!
and you horn should be on the steering wheel!
