Right just got a corsa gsi with c20xe in but.....
It runs funny, idles fine but backfires and when it gets warm or to temperature it stutters then picks up again, also if put my foot down then let off it really backfires load!
For a redtop it just does not feel as quick as it potentially could be??!!
Cheers help would be appreciated!

Knock Sensor
Leads
On the last engine we put in the corsa, mine backfired on idle  Turns out the leads were the wrong way round

Under the inlet manifold on the left hand side, all I remember Quite far down, you can reach it, but a bitch to get to.
Other thing could be your mass air flow meter.
Got the EML light on at all? Can you do a paper clip test

Right ok, ill av a look and we tried air flow meter but no different, had a new lamba senser on aswel that improved it a little bit but no 100%!

Only other things could be idle control valve / temp sensor.
Thinking about it it's probably the temp sensor, only about £10 from vauxhall and a piece of piss to fit.

the temp sensors for the xe's are £30 odd quid now.
went in to price one the other week and was shocked

the blue ones are about 20 quid,the black ones are more.you need the blue one
