Doesn't have a switch on the side but it has a Fn key. Would it be a picture of a antenna icon on the F key?

Does it make the internet go really slow or does that depend on my hub?

I wouldn't worry. Any dongle/hub will be faster than your broadband connection.

Average 100mbit network will do 12.5mb per second.

Even if you now have the 20mb virgin you claimed you were getting previously, you'd still only be doing 2.5mb per second at best.

So what were you laughing at again?
