I've had both and preferred the Xbox, i dont play it that often but i found the "experience" more suited as i prefer just playing games with the occasional online gaming. Saying that, when i had my PS3 the selection of game's available was pretty poor as it had not long been released.

i have had both and still prefer ps3, might be because i use my ps3 as a wireless media centre as well. and i love the feel of the controllers, xbox controllers are a bit big.

thats how it works on xbox, PS3 is aparently slow and unreliable in comparison. Ive never tried a PS3 online but I asked the same thing a few weeks ago.

its funny how heated this discussion gets. ive never seen anyone argue about which brand of tv is better
ps3 has hdmi control, while not really essential its still a great feature. and blu ray of course, thats the main thing that wins it for me

Its not really heated, just certain people always hang their fishing rods out cos other people get upset so easily, its always the same

PS3
+ Controllers last a good couple of hours before a recharge
isnt that a bad thing? My 360 controllers last for weeks, use it pretty much every other night.

Saw someone said about BBC Iplayer on the PS3. Well as of next week Sky Player on the 360
Also I got in the preview program for the next 360 dashboard update, updated my console yesterday; it comes with Facebook built in, instant 1080p streaming when you rent a movie, and Last.fm, which I never really knew about until now - it's wicked.

P.s. PS3 doesn't cost 'alot more', Live isn't £25 a year either.

plenty of places online for about 25 so yes it is!

I don't even use my PS3 to play games any more. Most are shit and overpriced (on both consoles).
PS3 is a brilliant media centre though. Blu-ray is cool and wireless streaming or music and video from any PC in the house is great.
As soon as I finally get round to buying the Play TV plugin thing that records freeview it'll be perfect

Had both since first released (going back far for the 360), the 360 is the one I always play, the PS3 I use as a Blu Ray player and that is all.

I have both. The Xbox sits in the corner doing hee haw whilst I play the PS3. The online playing doesn't differ at all imo.
