wouldnt it of just been easier to copy and paste the txt rather than print screen, paste into paint, upload, put on here. ?
anyway its done through itunes..

search and find the song you want, download it to your music folder, i tunes will recgonise it as a ringtone, and then sync it. Then just find it in your ringtone settings on the phone.

is it jailbroken? if not tell him to go to http://blackra1n.com/ and jailbreak and download ToneFX, then you can pick what ever song/tone he likes.

Try iringer, Lets you sample which bit of a song you want and then uploads it to iPhone
or is the question how to set it once uploaded? If so go into settings/sounds

use search or google, this was posted a few weeks ago! Just requires to cut a track to a max length of 30secs, encode it to AAC and change the extension to .M4R. Then drag drop to itunes ringtones folder and sync!
