hello i think my f20 is on its way out would it be worth me puting a f28 on my xe or not would it make eny differance and is there eny thing i need to no bout fiting a f28 into a corsa is it a straight swop from a f20 or not

no real point unless you want to sit at a lower rpm on long journeys. box weighs more, have to split it in 2 to change speedo ring on diff to make clocks read correct. you need to modify the gear linkage by shortening the part that connects to the box itself. you need a different passenger side mount for the f28. you will also need a clutch and pot type flywheel to suit as the input shaft is different to an f20.

Standard C20XE isn't really powerful enough to run an F28 efficiently.

It sounds good having 6 gears but you're better off just getting another f20 or if you want a bit more acceleration, get an f16

what would a f16 be like ? what do you lot recomend just to get another f20 or could just get m one re built

f20 for acceleration ,use an f18iirc i think 5th, it's a longer ratio, therefore be pretty good on the long distance.
