I purchased a 2000 Corsa B for my girlfriend on Monday. Everything is fine, but someone has obviously boshed back in the standard radio before sale and i cant get it to work.
The red led doesnt flash when the key is out of the ignition. When I try to switch it on, something happens but I'm not sure what. The date display goes blank, but nothing comes up at all and no sound comes out (I've checked the volume by the way!)
I would have expected 'SAFE' to come up, and I could have entered the Code in (which I have).
The car has a rather old-fashioned hands-free kit fitted - could this be to blame?
Can anyone help?

I've not tried a cassette in it yet, but I wanted to make sure that the old hands-free kit wasn't causing the problem before buying a new CD player.
