Is it true its being pushed back?
a couple of people at work mentioned it today..
Im holding off upgrading till it arrives.. if its gonna be ages ill upgrade now to a 3gs

Not seen anything about it, doubt it will be pushed back either, Apple are pretty predictable with schedules.

pretty sure its not pushed back - the romours are mostly the opposite - it would be brought forward due to the leak being so far in advance.
All that said its 99% chance of it being announced on the 7th June at the WWDC keynote

They raided the guy from Gizmondo's house.
All that does it proves it was the real thing(after all the fanboys saying how that couldn't possibly be the next iphone), instead of just ignoring it.

apple have already announced their presence at the WWDC in June/July, I cant see what else they'd have to talk about tbh

They could launch it there and then keep everyone waiting for a bit longer. That is after all what's happened over here with the iPad.

Or they could be pushing for all that publicity to throw the scent off the real deal.
I think its a possibility they could relook at the release date, mainly due to the delays with the iPad. I would of thought they'd of wanted a deliberate min time between both launches as its likely people who buy an iPad will also be iPhone customers so wont want to compete with themselves by releasing too soon.

I don't think it's a competing customer base, people who buy ipads will genuinely just go out and buy an iphone no matter what it costs anyway.

Not if they dont have the money they wont, which is why I suspect theyd want a set gap in between so customers can have a chance to recover from spending on the iPad to spend on the iPhone.

Most iphone sales will probably be contract, meaning you don't need anymore than the monthly cost, won't be a £400 lump sum.

Yeah I wont argue that, but it doesnt mean they have an unlimted amount of disposable income.
Id hazard a guess that 80% of their market couldnt afford to buy both the iPad and the new iPhone if they were released very close together.
