Hi all,
Looking for a cheap and cheerful netbook.. Something around a 10" screen.
Pretty much so i can stalk people on FB/ Check mails/ buy stuff on ebay without leaving my bed.
So far the shortlist is: samsung n150/ dell 1101.
Would however like it to be Uber quick, so having an SSD would be nice.
Also concidered a Ipad, but cant justify the added apple Tax.
Any recommendations?

The missus got an N150 a few months back, and she loves it, does what you need with the browsing etc...
but I don't personally like it much, it's too slow and annoying (don't think an SSD would change too much though), the mousepad is tempremental, keeps scrolling when I don't want it to as I rest my finger slightly too close when using it.
For the money (£250 from currys) it's all right, but I'm used to using a pc/laptop so find it too slow.

iPad is perfect but you do pay through the nose for it
I really don't like net books myself, would a decent smartphone not be better?

Ive got my 3gs, but just fancy something a tad bigger and slightly faster.
My PC downstairs is Very well specced and lightning quick, so i think if i had to wait 20mins for a netbook to boot i would lose all intrest in it.
As above it will have nothing on it other than firefox, so was hoping an SSD would give near instant boot times.
As much as i want an Ipad i feel it will be wasted for what i want.

it loads stuff fine and boots up fine (within 30sec or so), just seems to drag some of the time when browsing
