Dont know how to describe what i want to do So im struggling to google anything.
So ill tell you the story.

Willay, in helping me pass my law degree, somehow removed CS from my browser on the laptop. I sent him a file over msn, he returned it and BAM, CS was gone.
I did it this way so i couldnt rectify it one boring night, but that also meant i never got round to rectifying it at all

I would now like it back please, can anyone give step by step instructions?

Ta

Hosts file mate,

Right:

1. Open up notepad (Start, Run, type "notepad", enter)
2. File, Open in notepad
3. Type this in extactly (without quotes):

"%SystemRoot%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts"

and press enter.

Should be presented with text that looks like this:

# Copyright (c) 1993-2009 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host

# localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
# 127.0.0.1 localhost
# ::1 localhost

Hopefully Will has just added corsasport.co.uk (and any others like c20xe.co.uk) to point to local host, so just remove those lines so it looks like the above again.

Save it, restart the browser (and if that doesn't work the computer) and try again.

If you get REALLY stuck, catch me on MSN - U2U me for address
