Having a bit of trouble with my laaptop, It seems like it is taking a long time to load up,
What are the best things to do to speed it up. Havn't got any disks to reboot it, Can't find them anywhere.
Can anyone help to point me in the right direction on how to do it?

1. Download and install/run CCleaner - http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/standard
2. Download and install/run Malwarebytes - http://www.malwarebytes.org/
With CCleaner, it will clear up any "leftover" temporary files in Windows, as well as clearing temporary cache files in your browser and other programs you use. You can also disable certain startup programs that aren't really needed but take up valuable system resources (for example Apple iTunes).
Malwarebytes will just check that you've not got any dodgy spyware or whatever that are hogging the system
Next, defrag your hard drive. Either use the defrag program in Windows or download Defraggler from the site where you get CCleaner from (piriform.com).
If it's still slow, you might need to upgrade your RAM and/or other hardware on your laptop.

Wipe an put 7 on it imo.
Never been a fan of cleaners, anti virus etc. They all seem to slow the machine down more than the viruses!

I disagree, it's more a case of the user doesn't know what the fuck they are doing!

I do know what I'm doing. Thus have no need for anti-virus.
I was only giving my opinion Samuel.

Sorry if I came across as rude, Gary. I was referring more to other people in general.
The amount of people I've encountered who have used such things and fucked up something or other on their computers is unreal!

I'll let you off then.
I run my PC with no anti virus, malware protection, nothing. Everything is partitioned so i just put a clean install on C: every now and again.
Id rather waste an hour of my time every 6 months reinstalling that have anti virus sapping mem and cpu
