Does anyone know if a MacBook bought in the USA would have an ANSI keyboard, and would a UK MacBook have an ISO keyboard? They seem to just be advertised as having an English one, which would be QWERTY but doesn't tell you much else...

Apple US Keyboard - http://storeimages.apple.com/1807/as-images.apple.com/is/image/AppleInc/MB110LL?wid=1200&hei=1200&fmt=jpeg&qlt=95&op_sharpen=0&resMode=bicub&op_usm=0.5,0.5,0,0&iccEmbed=0&layer=comp
Apple UK Keyboard - http://storeimages.apple.com/1496/as-images.apple.com/is/image/AppleInc/MB110Z?wid=1200&hei=1200&fmt=jpeg&qlt=95&op_sharpen=0&resMode=bicub&op_usm=0.5,0.5,0,0&iccEmbed=0&layer=comp
Think they are ANSI and ISO
Just a shame the @ is in the wrong place

Am I being thick - aren't they both ANSI keyboards? (No £ and the other symbols on the numeric keys are wrong?)

Doh - This is the UK International one - http://storeimages.apple.com/1496/as-images.apple.com/is/image/AppleInc/MB110B?wid=2000&hei=2000&fmt=jpeg&qlt=95&op_sharpen=0&resMode=bicub&op_usm=0.5,0.5,0,0&iccEmbed=0&layer=comp
I think the main differences are
* The ISO keyboard has an extra key between the left shift key and the Z key.
* The arrangement of the return key and the backslash key differs.
* The key labeling differs: most keys have symbolic labels, instead of text labels.

MacBook Pro is £750 in the US and £880 over here. Probably worth getting it here so that I can get the right keyboard for it, then there's trying to find out when they're going to release the new one and how much of a hike they're putting on the price. Rumour has it that the new one is going to cost $2k, so I'll just buy the old one instead anyway...

Plus VAT and import duty will make it more than 900 to bring over

The new one is roumered to be our in a couple months. Last one was in april and apparently stocks of the current model are starting to be short in a number of regions which is the normal signs of a new model
Also look at refurbs, they get new battery and case (+ anything else required) and have the same warranty as new but often you can save a few hundred

I wonder where all the keys would be if you made a keyboard for this internet age?
I'm sure that some would move around .
