me and 2 mates are thinking of renting a flat house. We are looking for a 3 bedroom.

Is it best to look in the local paper or go through estate agents?

Will they need to do a credit check on all of use.

Also, roughly we were thinking the rent would be around £700 pcm and the bills around £300pcm so that would be around £333 each pcm?

Thanks

Are you seriously asking if £1000 / 3 is £333 each?

Rent on a 3 bed is limited to £325 maximum by law.

If all 3 are you are under 25 then you will qualify for young person living allowance which means. All your bills Inc sky and food will be 100 each maximum.

Hope this helps

A flat house? Do you mean a bungalow?

Yes, yes, and online too through websites like rightmove.co.uk

£700 rent divided by 3 people = £233 each, give or take a few pence.

Bills, you will at a bare minimum need to estimate:

- council tax (find out the council tax band for the property on the VOA website and then find out what the council charges for that band by looking it up on their website)
- gas
- electric
- water

If you get extras like a phone line, Sky etc. then you will need to account for that too.

Also, if you are renting a flat then you may need to pay a maintenance fee for the upkeep of the communal areas (i.e. hallways, lighting, gardens, etc).
