Did anyone see it earlier? They redid this floor with thin plywood strips which was like £2 a sq metre and then varnished it, looked pretty smart considering. Just wondering how you would do this? would it be glued down, wouldnt the pieces seperate at the joins etc

She's an uber bodge merchant

It makes half good TV, but it's cringe worthy how little she knows about restoration/preservation or building methods in general.

The floor you mention is a point in fact.

I doubt very much it did 'work' to any great extent.

I think she's ruined her image with this series. Last week's fireplace made of MDF painted to look like marble was utter shit. How can they bodge a house like this one, if any property justifed being done correctly its that one

We sometimes use MR MDF for pipe boxings, mainly because it paints better than ply and you don't have a rough edge, the bath panels we've been using recently are MDF too but they have a plastic type finish on them.
Still far from ideal for use in a bathroom though, especially if there is a shower in too.

She always came across quite knowledgeable on Property Ladder but you never know what experts they have advising behind the scenes.

You can get foil backed plasterboards for use in high moisture areas(kitchens/bathrooms) but that's only really masking the problem in your case. Is this in all rooms or one area?

cement board will be most resistant to moisture. where abouts are you getting the mould in relation to where the bath/shower is?

I love this programme, I love anything with her on it tbh.

but yeah she is being a bit of a hypocrite with this. on property ladder she is always telling people to do things propperly like knocking gables down and full new roofs, and yet with this she is doing shit like that fire place. Id love to go and have a look round
